Ronaldo, who had been recovering from a pelvic muscle injury, entered the game in the 62nd minute after his team had already established a commanding lead. Abdulelah Al-Amri opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by a goal from Angelo just before halftime. Joao Felix extended the lead to 3-0 in the 58th minute.
