Crystal Palace's Bid for Lamine Camara Rejected by Monaco
Crystal Palace's verbal bid for midfielder Lamine Camara has been rejected by Ligue 1 club Monaco. The 22-year-old Senegal international was the target of an offer reportedly exceeding £35 million, which would have positioned him among the club's most expensive signings.
Camara has made 49 appearances for Senegal and participated in the recent World Cup. He joined Monaco from Metz in 2024 for approximately 15 million euros (£12.8 million) after a successful stint in various Senegalese youth academies.
This summer, Crystal Palace has secured four new signings, including striker Evann Guessand on loan from Aston Villa, winger Dwight McNeil from Everton, and defender Takehiro Tomiyasu on a free transfer. The team is set to face Freiburg in their final pre-season match before starting their Premier League season against Everton on August 22.
