Cubs Set Franchise Record with Nine Home Runs Against Brewers

Among the home runs, Alex Bregman contributed three, while Matt Shaw, Seiya Suzuki, Nico Hoerner, Tyrone Taylor, Michael Conforto, and Carson Kelly each added one. With this output, the Cubs finished August with a total of 62 home runs, establishing a new National League record for the month, surpassing the previous record held by the Atlanta Braves.

The Cubs are now one of only four teams in Major League Baseball history to hit over 60 home runs in a month, falling short of the all-time record of 74 set by the New York Yankees in 2019. Following this win, the Cubs improved their standing in the NL Central, now seven games behind the division leaders.
