Curtis Jones Joins Inter Milan from Liverpool in £30m Transfer
Inter Milan has officially announced the acquisition of Curtis Jones from Liverpool for a total fee of £30m, which includes a fixed payment of £25.7m and potential add-ons of £4.28m. The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined Liverpool at the age of nine, has made 228 appearances and scored 22 goals for the club.
This transfer marks the end of Jones' long association with Liverpool, where he won multiple trophies, including two Premier League titles and an FA Cup. He is the third England international to join Inter Milan this transfer window, following John Stones and Djed Spence.
Jones' departure raises questions about Liverpool's midfield strategy as they prepare for the upcoming season. The club's new head coach, Andoni Iraola, is expected to utilize other players in the midfield, including Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai, while considering reinvestment from the transfer fee.
