Cyrus Allen Injured During Special Teams Practice
Cyrus Allen, a rookie receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, left Saturday's practice on a cart after sustaining an injury while playing as a gunner on the punt team.
This incident has led to concerns among fans regarding his role on special teams. Chiefs special-teams coordinator Dave Toub commented on the situation, expressing his dismay over the injury and noting that Allen has been performing well on offense. Toub explained that all players, especially rookies, typically participate in special teams roles.
Toub also mentioned that first-round cornerback Mansoor Delane would be practicing on special teams, despite dealing with a shoulder injury.
