Daisuke Yokota Joins Rangers from Hannover 96
Daisuke Yokota has officially joined Rangers from Hannover 96 in a transfer deal valued at an initial £2.75 million, with potential add-ons. The 26-year-old winger has signed a three-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year.
Yokota, who scored five goals and provided four assists in the previous season in Germany's second division, may be included in Rangers' Europa League squad as they prepare for their upcoming match against Jagiellonia Białystok. He becomes the ninth signing for Rangers this summer, following several other players.
Manager Derek McInnes expressed satisfaction with the acquisition, noting Yokota's experience and qualities that will enhance the team's attacking capabilities. Yokota began his career in Tokyo and has played in various European leagues, including a successful stint in Latvia and a loan at Hannover 96 before making the move permanent.
