Dak Prescott Advocates for George Pickens' Contract with Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys has urged team owner Jerry Jones to find a way to secure a long-term contract for wide receiver George Pickens, who is currently playing under a franchise tag worth approximately $27.3 million.

During a recent appearance on FanDuel TV's 'Up & Adams,' quarterback Dak Prescott emphasized that Pickens deserves to be compensated fairly for his talent. He noted that while Pickens loves the game, he should receive every dollar he is entitled to, suggesting that the Cowboys should act sooner rather than later.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones has stated that the team's goal is to finalize a multiyear deal with Pickens, but league rules prevent this until after the regular season concludes in January 2027. Prescott acknowledged that Pickens has responded positively to the franchise tag, but the future remains uncertain if the Cowboys decide to retain his rights for 2027.

Prescott highlighted Pickens' passion for football and his acceptance within the team, indicating that regardless of his contract situation, Pickens will continue to give his best performance for the Cowboys.
