Dak Prescott Approaches Milestone Touchdown Record with Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for their first game of the 2026-27 season against the New York Giants on September 13. As the team looks to make a significant playoff run, quarterback Dak Prescott is nearing a notable milestone.

According to ESPN's preseason power rankings, the Cowboys are positioned at No. 15, slightly improved from their post-draft ranking of No. 16. Prescott is just six touchdown passes away from surpassing Tony Romo's franchise record of 248, which was set between 2006 and 2016. He could potentially achieve this milestone as early as Week 2 against the Commanders.

Prescott has previously thrown a career-high of five touchdown passes in a game against the Eagles in 2022 and has recorded more touchdowns against the Giants and Commanders than any other teams. Achieving this record would also mean he holds the franchise records for yards, attempts, and completions.
