Dakota Ditcheva Cleared for MMA Return After Hand Surgery
Dakota Ditcheva has announced that she is medically cleared to return to MMA training after undergoing hand surgery, which previously sidelined her from competition. Her absence allowed Jena Bishop to secure the PFL's inaugural flyweight title by defeating Liz Carmouche at PFL Chicago on October 16.
Ditcheva, who has been grappling for several weeks, expressed her readiness to compete and is now awaiting a fight date. She clarified that her surgery was necessary for recovery, and she did not face any disciplinary medical suspension due to her injury.
Looking ahead, Ditcheva aims to challenge Bishop for the flyweight belt, hoping to schedule the fight for February or March 2027. Despite the PFL's potential interest in delaying the bout, Ditcheva is focused on her comeback and maintaining her undefeated record.
