Dakota Ditcheva Excluded from Inaugural PFL Women’s Flyweight Title Fight
The inaugural PFL women’s flyweight championship fight will proceed without Dakota Ditcheva, a prominent fighter in the division. Ditcheva, who has an undefeated record of 16-0, recently returned to competition after a year-long injury hiatus, but has suffered further injuries.
Following her comeback victory over Denise Kielholtz, Ditcheva was expected to face Liz Carmouche, a former UFC title challenger. However, she broke both hands during the fight, preventing her from participating in the title bout.
Instead, the PFL has announced that Carmouche will compete against Jena Bishop for the vacant title on October 16 at PFL Chicago. Carmouche previously defeated Bishop in their last encounter, and this rematch will determine the first champion in the division.
