Dakota Ditcheva Reveals She Fought with Broken Hands at PFL New York
Dakota Ditcheva showcased her skills in women's MMA at PFL New York, winning against Denise Kielholtz while secretly battling injuries. After a year-long hiatus, she returned to the ring but revealed post-fight that she had broken both hands during the match.
Ditcheva fought for approximately two and a half rounds without informing her corner about her injuries. She only confided in her cut man about the situation after the fight concluded. This injury is not new for Ditcheva, as a similar incident sidelined her for a year following a fight with Sumiko Inaba.
Despite her victory, Ditcheva faces potential repercussions from her decision to forgo surgery after her previous injury. She is currently in splints and awaiting a surgeon's advice on how to proceed, which may delay her return to the ring until 2027.
