Dakota Ditcheva Suffers Hand Injuries While Winning at PFL New York
Dakota Ditcheva sustained fractures in both hands during her unanimous decision victory against Denise Kielholtz at PFL New York earlier this month.
The unbeaten flyweight fighter felt the injuries early in the second round but chose not to inform her corner or trainers until after the match. Ditcheva, who is currently wearing splints, is awaiting medical advice on whether surgery will be necessary.
This injury is linked to previous fractures, as Ditcheva had undergone surgery on one hand after a prior incident but left the other untreated. Despite the injuries, she improved her record to 16-0 and expressed interest in boxing with Most Valuable Promotions, which recently merged with the PFL.
