Dallas Cowboys Acquire Broderick Jones from Steelers

The Dallas Cowboys have secured offensive tackle Broderick Jones from the Pittsburgh Steelers, as confirmed by a source on Saturday. Jones, a first-round draft pick in 2023, was part of a deal that also involved an exchange of draft picks.

Pittsburgh will send Jones along with a fourth-round pick in the 2027 draft to Dallas in return for the Cowboys' third- and sixth-round picks. Jones, who was selected 14th overall from Georgia, played 45 games over three seasons with the Steelers, starting 38 of them.

The Cowboys have faced challenges at the tackle position during training camp, prompting the acquisition of Jones. Concerns have arisen regarding Terence Steele's performance and the expected development of Tyler Guyton. Jones had a significant injury last season, missing the final six games and undergoing surgery, which may have influenced the Steelers' decision to move on from him after they drafted another tackle.
