Dallas Cowboys' Quinnen Williams Extension Sparks Debate on Micah Parsons Trade

The Dallas Cowboys have extended defensive tackle Quinnen Williams with a three-year, $105.9 million contract, prompting discussions about the team's trade involving Micah Parsons with the Green Bay Packers.

Colin Cowherd suggested that the Cowboys may have benefited from the trade, which initially seemed unfavorable. The Cowboys traded Parsons to the Packers for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round picks in 2026 and 2027. They later used some of that draft capital to acquire Williams from the New York Jets.

While Parsons had a successful debut season with the Packers, recording 12.5 sacks, he suffered a torn ACL that will sideline him for part of the upcoming season. The Cowboys, despite missing the playoffs for two consecutive years, are seen as having improved their roster significantly through these trades.
