Dallas Mavericks Fans Upset Over Ticket Package Changes
Fans of the Dallas Mavericks are voicing their discontent regarding modifications to the team's partial season-ticket offerings for the 2026-27 season. The Mavericks have introduced two 10-game plans that now include a preseason game, a departure from previous packages that featured only regular-season games.
In the new plans, the preseason game against the New Orleans Pelicans on October 14 is part of the 'Three Point' package, while the game against the Atlanta Hawks on October 16 is included in the 'Weekend' plan. This change has led some season-ticket holders to label it a bait and switch, especially since high-profile matchups featuring star players like Luka Dončić and LeBron James are absent from these packages.
A Mavericks representative clarified that out of eight available season-ticket options, six consist solely of regular-season games, while two incorporate one preseason game each. The team aims to offer a diverse selection of opponents and dates within these packages. Additionally, Mavericks CEO Rick Welts previously stated that ticket prices would remain unchanged for the upcoming season, a decision made to address fan expectations.
