Dana White Acknowledges Eddie Hearn's Role in Fury vs Joshua Fight in the UK
Dana White has acknowledged Eddie Hearn's efforts in ensuring that the highly anticipated boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will take place in the UK. The fight is scheduled for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, although it is expected to occur in the early hours of December 12.
Despite attempts to host the event at Madison Square Garden in New York, Joshua and Hearn insisted on their contractual right to hold it in the UK. White, who launched Zuffa Boxing earlier this year, noted that Hearn's determination played a significant role in making the UK venue a reality.
Concerns had arisen regarding White's involvement in promoting the fight, which is a collaboration with Saudi boxing figure Turki Alalshikh's The Ring. Although Hearn has publicly stated that White could not promote the bout, he recently indicated a willingness to meet with White to discuss potential involvement. White, however, expressed disinterest in further discussions, emphasizing that the focus should remain on the fighters rather than their personal rivalry.
