Dana White Addresses Namo Fazil Incident Ahead of DWCS Fight
Dana White has stated that the UFC is taking internal measures regarding the incident involving fighter Namo Fazil, who reported being confronted by approximately 15 Chechen men in his hotel room before his fight at Dana White’s Contender Series.
The confrontation, which included UFC fighter Baisangur Susurkaev, gained attention following Fazil's knockout loss to Kaik Brito. Fazil described the encounter on social media, claiming he was slapped twice by Susurkaev after refusing to engage in a fight. Despite the incident, Fazil proceeded with the match but was ultimately defeated in the third round.
Khamzat Chimaev also commented on the situation, urging unity between the Chechen and Kurdish communities and expressing discontent with the public nature of the confrontation. Meanwhile, Susurkaev defended his actions, suggesting they were a response to Fazil's previous remarks. White confirmed that the UFC is addressing the matter internally and will not provide further public commentary.
