Dana White Signs Four Fighters from DWCS, Rejects One
During the first week of Dana White's Contender Series, four fighters secured contracts with the UFC following their victories. The event took place at the newly refurbished Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
Abe Alsaghir, an undefeated lightweight, won a split decision against Fabrizio Escarrega, improving his record to 9-0. Despite the win, Dana White declined to offer Alsaghir a contract, expressing disagreement with the judges' decision and stating he did not see what he was looking for in the fight.
Among the successful signings, Anthony Wint achieved a quick TKO victory in just 34 seconds, while Bilal Hasan and Thomas Pagliarulo also earned contracts after their respective wins. Joseph Kropschot was the only fighter to win by decision who received a contract offer, marking a notable night for the Contender Series.
