Dane Dowiak and Reese Laubach Named Captains for Penn State Men's Hockey 2026-27 Season

Penn State men's hockey has appointed Dane Dowiak and Reese Laubach as team captains for the 2026-27 season.

Both players are seniors and previously contributed significantly to the Nittany Lions, with Dowiak serving as the sole captain last season and Laubach as one of the alternates. Laubach participated in all 37 games during the 2025-26 season, achieving 28 points through 12 goals and 16 assists, while Dowiak played 27 games before an injury ended his season, finishing with 18 points from nine goals and nine assists.

The Nittany Lions will begin their season on October 9 against UConn in the 2026 Ice Breaker Tournament.
