Dani Carvajal Signs with Getafe as Free Agent
Dani Carvajal, the former captain of Real Madrid, has signed with Getafe on a free transfer after his contract ended in June.
The right-back, who is 34 years old, had been without a club since leaving Real Madrid, where he spent 23 years and won 27 titles, including six Champions League trophies. He has agreed to a contract with Getafe that runs until June of the following year.
Getafe, currently positioned 11th in La Liga, expressed their enthusiasm for Carvajal's experience and leadership, especially following his struggles with injuries in recent seasons. Carvajal has also represented Spain 51 times, contributing to their Nations League victory in 2023 and their European Championship win in 2024.
