Daniel Rodriguez Hospitalized After Knockout at UFC Belgrade

Daniel Rodriguez was hospitalized after suffering a knockout loss to Uros Medic during the main event at UFC Belgrade on Saturday night.

UFC officials confirmed that both Rodriguez and bantamweight Mark Vologdin were transported for precautionary CT scans due to injuries sustained in their fights. Rodriguez's defeat ended his three-fight win streak, which included a victory over Kevin Holland and a stoppage of Santiago Ponzinibbio.

This match marked Rodriguez's return to the Octagon after an eight-month incarceration in a Tijuana prison, which limited his preparation for the fight. Vologdin, who lost to Serbian rookie Borislav Nikolic, also underwent scans after experiencing significant damage during his bout. The results of the scans for both fighters have not been released, as UFC protocol mandates hospital transport following serious knockout incidents.
