Danish Shuttler Anders Antonsen Criticizes India Open Scheduling

Danish badminton player Anders Antonsen has voiced his dissatisfaction with the scheduling of the India Open in New Delhi for February next year. He highlighted concerns about the city's pollution levels during that period, describing them as potentially severe.

Antonsen, currently participating in the BWF World Championships in New Delhi, has opted out of competing in India for the past three years. He previously faced a fine for missing the India Open earlier this year. He remarked that the conditions at the World Championships are much more favorable compared to previous experiences.

Despite his reservations about the India Open's timing, Antonsen acknowledged that the air quality during the World Championships is acceptable. He is still undecided about participating in the upcoming tournament, which is part of the BWF's new calendar.
