Dante Moore Out for Season, Faces Decisions on Future
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore has been ruled out for the remainder of the season as he recovers from a concussion sustained in September against USC, according to coach Dan Lanning.
Moore, a highly regarded prospect, is now evaluating his options, which include returning to play in 2027 or declaring for the NFL Draft. His decision comes amid a challenging season for the Ducks, who currently hold a 4-3 record and have faced setbacks, including the firing of offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer.
Moore has another year of eligibility under the NCAA's '5-for-5' rule, allowing him to play another season if he chooses. He had previously considered entering the 2026 NFL Draft but opted to return to Oregon for the current season. Despite his strong performance earlier in the season, NFL analysts are now assessing his potential as he navigates his future options.
