Darius Slayton Becomes Free Agent After Giants Release

The New York Giants have released wide receiver Darius Slayton, making him a free agent as of Monday. Following his release, Slayton expressed enthusiasm about future opportunities through a social media post.

According to Josina Anderson from Exhibit News Network, three teams have already contacted Slayton's representatives to initiate discussions. The Indianapolis Colts have been mentioned as a possible destination due to Slayton's connection with quarterback Daniel Jones.

Slayton, who spent seven seasons with the Giants, was the longest-tenured player on the team before his release. He was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, four rounds after the selection of Jones. Last season, Slayton recorded 37 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown.
