Dave Meltzer Comments on New Level's Long-Term AEW Deal and Debut
Wrestling commentator Dave Meltzer has suggested that the wrestling team New Level, featuring Kofi and Austin Creed, has secured a long-term deal with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Their debut took place during AEW's Dynamite, where they defended their trios championships against The Rascalz.
Meltzer noted that the duo, formerly known as part of WWE's New Day, showcased a high-energy performance, adapting quickly to AEW's style. He remarked on their impressive speed and agility in the ring, indicating that they had effectively adjusted to AEW's wrestling approach.
AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that discussions regarding Kofi and Creed's signing only began after their 90-day non-compete clause with WWE expired. Khan expressed surprise at their availability as free agents, stating that he had not anticipated this development when planning for AEW's tag and trios divisions.
