David Sullivan Advised Against Attending West Ham Home Matches Amid Allegations

David Sullivan, co-owner of West Ham, has received advice from the operator of the London Stadium to refrain from attending home matches due to concerns over possible fan unrest. This recommendation follows an investigation by The Times and BBC Panorama into allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

The stadium operator has requested that the club provide advance notice of any planned appearances by Sullivan to ensure that additional safety measures can be implemented. Sullivan stepped down as director and joint chairman of West Ham in June, prior to the release of the investigation findings, and he has denied all allegations.

West Ham is set to play their first home game of the season against Portsmouth in the EFL Cup first round on Saturday. A spokesperson for the London Stadium indicated that while the club does not view Sullivan's attendance as a current safeguarding risk, the potential for protests and disruptive behavior from some fans led to the recommendation for him to stay away.
