Dax Kilby Showcases New Mechanics in Arizona Fall League
Dax Kilby, a 19-year-old shortstop and New York Yankees prospect, is currently participating in the Arizona Fall League to enhance his skills. Drafted 39th overall last year from a Georgia high school, Kilby ranks third in the Yankees' system and has previously shown promise despite a severe hamstring injury that affected his 2026 season.
This season, Kilby achieved a batting line of .242/.427/.403 with a 143 wRC+ over 154 plate appearances in Low-A Tampa. He has been adjusting his batting mechanics to improve his performance, focusing on being more adaptable to different pitches and driving the ball in the air.
His initial results in the Fall League have been positive, with seven hits, including four doubles and a home run. Scouts have noted his potential, particularly praising his ability to handle velocity effectively.
