Days of Thunder Sequel Set for 2028 Release with Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway

The sequel to the classic NASCAR film Days of Thunder is officially scheduled for release on June 2, 2028. Tom Cruise will reprise his role as Cole Trickle, joined by Anne Hathaway, who will portray a team owner and engineer.

The original film, released in 1990, followed Trickle's journey in stock car racing, culminating in a dramatic Daytona 500 showdown. The sequel will be directed by Jonathan Levine and produced by Cruise and Jerry Bruckheimer, among others.
