Deebo Samuel to Miss Several Weeks Due to Hamstring Injury
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is expected to be out for at least a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury he sustained during a game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The injury occurred in the third quarter when Samuel fell while running toward the sideline, resulting in a fumble. He was seen by the training staff and managed to leave the field while holding his right leg.
This incident marks a challenging day for the 49ers, who also faced the ejection of linebacker Dre Greenlaw in the second quarter for headbutting a Seahawks player during a sideline altercation. Samuel, who returned to the 49ers this season after a stint with the Washington Commanders, may see Brandin Cooks take on more responsibilities in his absence.
