Delta Sigma Iota Fraternity Reactivates Alpha Chapter at Penn State
Delta Sigma Iota fraternity has reactivated its Alpha Chapter at Penn State, as announced on Thursday. This South Asian multicultural fraternity was originally founded at the university in 2000 and currently operates at 11 universities.
The fraternity is looking for new members to help rebuild the chapter based on its core principles of service, education, and unity, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's teachings. Students involved will have opportunities to influence the chapter's culture, organize events, manage finances, and engage in professional development.
Members will also participate in philanthropic activities, including support for THON, Toys for Tots, and Movember. Additionally, the fraternity has formed partnerships with Be the Match to support the National Marrow Donor Program and Only with Consent to raise awareness about sexual harassment and assault. Delta Sigma Iota boasts a national network of over 650 alumni in various professional fields.
