
Dennis Hauger Secures 2026 IndyCar Rookie of the Year Title
Dennis Hauger has officially been named the 2026 IndyCar Rookie of the Year after a season marked by both challenges and achievements. Despite crashing out during the season finale, Hauger secured the title while driving for Dale Coyne Racing, finishing 15 points ahead of Mick Schumacher.
The 23-year-old Norwegian recorded eight top-15 finishes throughout the season, including two in the top 10, with his best result being an eighth-place finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. He also had five top-10 starts and demonstrated competitive speed by leading laps at Phoenix and Milwaukee.
Reflecting on his debut season, Hauger expressed gratitude for the support he received and acknowledged the emotional ups and downs he experienced.
