Derby County Secures First Win of the Season Against Portsmouth

Derby County claimed their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory against Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Tuesday night. Goals from Sam Szmodics and Lars-Jorgen Salvesen secured the points for the Rams.

Despite Portsmouth dominating possession and registering 19 shots compared to Derby's seven, the Rams capitalized on their opportunities. Szmodics opened the scoring in the 16th minute after a well-executed play, while Salvesen added a second goal shortly after coming on as a substitute.

Portsmouth struggled to convert their chances, with their best efforts failing to find the back of the net. The defeat marked another setback for Pompey, who have lost both of their home matches this season.
