Derek McInnes' Touchline Ban Reduced After Rangers' Appeal

Derek McInnes, the manager of Rangers, has had his four-match touchline ban reduced to two matches after the club's successful appeal. The Scottish FA initially imposed the suspension due to comments McInnes made regarding a penalty awarded to Celtic during a match against Motherwell last May, which he described as disgusting.

As a result of the appeal, McInnes will serve a two-match ban immediately, while the remaining two matches will only take effect if he breaches disciplinary rules again before the season concludes. His first match in the stands will be against Falkirk, followed by a game at Ibrox against Motherwell.

McInnes has faced challenges since taking over as Rangers manager, including a disappointing exit from European competitions and a slow start in the Premiership, where his team currently trails Celtic by five points after three matches.
