Detroit Lions Host Minnesota Vikings in Sunday Night Showdown

The Detroit Lions are set to face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football at Ford Field, seeking to halt the Vikings' perfect start to the 2026 NFL season.

Currently, the Vikings are the only undefeated team, having won all six of their games, while the Lions hold a 4-2 record and look to narrow the gap in the NFC North standings.

Quarterback Jared Goff has been instrumental for Detroit, throwing for 1,788 yards and 14 touchdowns. His connection with Amon-Ra St. Brown has been particularly effective, with St. Brown recording 46 receptions for 525 yards and five touchdowns. On the ground, Jahmyr Gibbs has rushed for 620 yards and seven touchdowns. Meanwhile, Minnesota boasts the NFL's best defense, allowing just 10.3 points per game. Their latest victory came against the Indianapolis Colts, where they won 16-10, maintaining their unbeaten record.
