In a strong comeback, South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the Namibia T20I Tri-Series held in Windhoek. Dewald Brevis played a pivotal role, scoring an unbeaten 75 runs off 32 balls, leading his team to a total of 146 runs in just 13.4 overs while chasing a target of 145.
Zimbabwe initially set a competitive score, reaching 76 for 1, but faltered in the latter half of their innings, finishing at 144 for 8. South Africa's bowlers, particularly Duan Jansen and Prenelan Subrayen, contributed effectively, with Jansen taking three wickets.
This victory marked South Africa's first points in the tournament after their earlier loss to Namibia. The win keeps them in contention for a place in the final, while Zimbabwe will need to regroup ahead of their next match against Namibia on August 31.
