Dexter Lumis Acknowledges Bully Ray's Influence on His Wrestling Career

Dexter Lumis, a former WWE star known as Dexter Morgan during his time in TNA, attributes his wrestling success to Bully Ray, a Hall of Famer who taught him essential psychological aspects of the sport. Lumis highlighted that his significant breakthrough occurred during his participation in TNA's 'Gut Check' competition rather than in WWE.

In 2012, Lumis secured a contract with TNA after winning the 'Gut Check' competition, a pivotal moment in his career. He later transitioned to WWE's developmental brand, NXT, where he remained until his first release in April 2022. Lumis returned to WWE four months later, joining the main roster and taking on the character Mercy the Buzzard in 2024.

After his second release following WrestleMania 42 in April, Lumis is currently a free agent, reflecting on the impact of his early training with Bully Ray on his wrestling journey.
