Diamondbacks Move Ketel Marte to 10-Day Injured List
The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced the transfer of Ketel Marte from the restricted list to the 10-day injured list. General manager Mike Hazen confirmed that Marte is expected to return to play once he recovers from his injury.
Marte was initially placed on the restricted list after missing a game against the Boston Red Sox due to a personal issue. Following this, he returned to Phoenix for imaging on his knee, which had previously caused him to miss a game in Atlanta. Reports indicate that he is dealing with inflammation in his upper hamstring and medial joint of his left knee.
In a statement, Marte's agent mentioned that he is managing a personal matter and will undergo an MRI on his knee. Hazen later stated that the team is committed to supporting Marte and addressing the situation. D-Backs president Derrick Hall expressed hope for mending the relationship with Marte, emphasizing the importance of his talent to the team. The Diamondbacks are currently one game behind the Padres in the Wild Card race.
