Dick Campbell Dismissed by East Fife; Danny Lennon Takes Interim Role at Dumbarton
Dick Campbell has been dismissed from his position as manager of East Fife after the team failed to secure a victory in their last eight League One matches and was eliminated from the KDM Evolution Trophy.
The 72-year-old, who joined East Fife in February 2024, previously managed several clubs including Arbroath and Forfar Athletic. Under his leadership, East Fife achieved promotion through the 2025 play-offs, marking the seventh promotion of his career. However, the team currently sits seventh in the league with only one win from ten games, and their recent 2-1 loss to Cumbernauld Colts in the Challenge Cup was described by the club as a financial setback.
Alongside Campbell, his brother Ian and assistant coaches Stuart Malcolm and John Young have also left the club. In a related development, Danny Lennon has been appointed as the interim manager of Dumbarton after Frank McKeown's exit. Dumbarton is currently sixth in League Two and recently suffered a 4-0 defeat in the KDM Evolution Trophy.
