Diego Pavia, the former Vanderbilt quarterback who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting last year, is currently without a team but intends to join the UFL in 2027.
Pavia announced his plans on Tuesday night, stating that his agent is in negotiations with the UFL to finalize his participation. After going undrafted in April, he signed with the Ravens but was released before training camp began.
The UFL draft is scheduled for November 18, with the Columbus Aviators holding the first pick. Pavia's involvement could enhance the league's visibility and appeal, as teams seek to attract fans and create excitement around their rosters.
