Dillon Danis Set to Compete Again After Chimaev Brawl
Dillon Danis is confirmed to compete again for Real American Freestyle (RAF) despite the tumultuous conclusion of his match against Khamzat Chimaev in June, according to Chad Bronstein, co-founder of the promotion.
During the RAF 10 event in St. Louis, Chimaev defeated Danis by pinfall, but the match escalated into chaos when Danis kicked from the mat after the bell. This led to a confrontation between both teams. Concerns arose regarding potential disciplinary action against Danis, but Bronstein clarified that no ban would be imposed, noting that Danis has been respectful behind the scenes.
Chimaev is scheduled to compete again at RAF Moscow on September 5 against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, with plans for him to wrestle multiple times before the end of the year. The timeline for Danis' return to the promotion has not yet been disclosed.
