The Dindigul Dragons achieved a commanding 81-run victory against the Salem Spartans in a Tamil Nadu Premier League match held at NPR College ground on Friday. The match commenced after a delay due to rain, but once it started, the Dragons quickly took control.
Captain B. Indrajith led the charge with an impressive 73 runs off just 25 balls, while openers Shivam Singh and V.K. Vineeth contributed 38 and 45 runs, respectively. The Dragons set a formidable total of 239 for six in their 15 overs, with significant contributions from Vimal Khumar and Hunny Saini as well. The Spartans struggled in their response, managing only 158 runs for eight wickets.
In another match, Mokit Hariharan scored a century for Chepauk Super Gillies, leading his team to a 39-run win over Madurai Panthers. Hariharan's 108 runs off 50 balls helped establish a record-breaking opening partnership.
