Djed Spence Set for Inter Milan Transfer After £27m Agreement
Djed Spence, the England defender, is on the verge of joining Inter Milan following Tottenham's agreement to a £27m transfer fee. The move comes as Spence seeks more regular playing time after a challenging period at Tottenham since his arrival from Middlesbrough in 2022.
Spence, 26, had a brief but notable stint in the England squad during the World Cup, showcasing his abilities in various defensive roles. Despite a slow start at Tottenham, where he made only six appearances in his first season, he revitalized his career under coach Ange Postecoglou, contributing significantly during the 2024/25 season with 41 appearances and helping the team secure the Europa League title.
With Tottenham's recent signing of Andrew Robertson and the presence of Pedro Porro as the first-choice right-back, Spence's move to Inter Milan appears timely. He is expected to reunite with England teammate John Stones, who joined Inter earlier this summer.
