Dodgers Anticipate Shohei Ohtani's Return Before Regular Season Ends
Los Angeles Dodgers player Shohei Ohtani is working towards a return from the injured list, having taken swings off a tee on Tuesday. Manager Dave Roberts noted that Ohtani felt positive during the session as the team prepares for the playoffs.
Roberts expressed optimism about Ohtani's return, indicating that he expects the player to participate in some regular-season games before the postseason begins. Ohtani has been sidelined due to soreness in his left knee and right biceps, as well as a neck issue, which led to his placement on the injured list.
Ohtani, who must remain on the injured list for at least 15 days, can be activated as early as September 23. At that time, the Dodgers will have five games remaining in the regular season, including two against the San Diego Padres and a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants. This season, Ohtani has recorded a .277 batting average, a .380 on-base percentage, and 30 home runs in 130 games.
