Dodgers Injury Updates: Klein, Snell, Bubic, and George
Will Klein has been placed on the Dodgers' 15-day injured list due to right elbow discomfort, which an MRI revealed to be bone chips. The possibility of surgery has not yet been determined, but a NanoNeedle procedure may be an option for Klein, potentially allowing him to return in about six weeks.
Klein, who has had a mixed performance since joining the Dodgers, posted a 3.67 ERA this season but struggled prior to his IL placement. Meanwhile, Blake Snell is nearing a return after being activated from the 60-day IL, having dealt with elbow issues and shoulder fatigue earlier in the season.
Newly-acquired Kris Bubic is also on the 60-day IL due to a left flexor strain and shoulder impingement, but he is progressing towards a return as a reliever. Additionally, outfield prospect Kendall George announced his season is over following knee surgery, although he is expected to recover in time for Spring Training. The Dodgers also outrighted catcher Chuckie Robinson to Triple-A after he cleared waivers.
