Dodgers Place Brock Stewart on Injured List, Promote Cole Irvin

The team does not plan to aggressively seek additional bullpen help following this injury.

Irvin, who signed a minor league deal in the offseason, has a 3.58 ERA over 98 innings in the Pacific Coast League. He has not pitched in six days and will provide length for the bullpen in an upcoming game. This could mark his first major league appearance in two years, following a stint in Korea. Meanwhile, Chayce McDermott, who was designated for assignment, has pitched minimally at the major league level and has a high strikeout rate but also a significant walk rate.
