Dodgers Place Daulton Rushing on 10-Day Injured List
The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that catcher Daulton Rushing is on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to September 5. This decision follows his recent activation on September 1 after a prior injury.
Rushing is dealing with right elbow discomfort, which is related to a partial UCL tear that kept him out for most of August. He had participated in four games as a pinch-hitter before being scratched from the starting lineup due to a flare-up during a pre-game throwing session.
Manager Dave Roberts indicated that Rushing's ability to return to catching this season is uncertain, and this latest injury may limit his role to pinch-hitting against right-handed pitchers. Despite the challenges, Rushing has had a productive season, hitting .249 with 12 home runs over 250 plate appearances.
