Dodgers President Confirms Team Is Not for Sale
Stan Kasten, president of the Los Angeles Dodgers, addressed reporters on Friday to affirm that the team is not for sale. He emphasized that ownership remains committed to the franchise and has no plans to initiate a sale.
Kasten's remarks come in light of recent developments involving controlling owner Mark Walter, who recently sold his majority stake in the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers for a valuation of $12.5 billion. Walter and his business partner Todd Boehly are reportedly considering selling their minority shares in Chelsea F.C., but no agreements have been finalized.
Despite ongoing investigations into Walter's insurance companies, Kasten stated that these issues do not affect the Dodgers or their payroll. The team maintains a high competitive balance tax number and is expected to continue investing in their roster.
