Dodgers Prospect Kendall George Undergoes Knee Surgery After Bat Dog Incident

Kendall George, an outfield prospect for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has undergone surgery on his left knee after suffering an injury in late May. The incident occurred during a Double-A game when George attempted to avoid a bat dog at home plate after scoring a run.

The mishap led to the suspension of the bat dog program by the Double-A Tulsa Drillers. Following the injury, George returned to play a month later, demonstrating his speed by stealing 10 bases in 17 games.

Recently, George was a late scratch from the Tulsa lineup, coinciding with trade rumors involving the Dodgers. Although initially reported as soreness, he was later placed on the minor league injured list. George, who was the Dodgers' first-round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, has shown significant promise, including a .332 batting average and 36 stolen bases in 55 games this season.
