Dolphins Activate Safety Kyle Louis from Injured Reserve
The Miami Dolphins have announced the activation of safety Kyle Louis from injured reserve as of Saturday.
In addition to Louis, the team has elevated kicker Zane Gonzalez and edge rusher Max Llewellyn to the active roster for their game against the Jets. Louis, a fourth-round rookie, made his NFL debut in the season opener but was sidelined due to an MCL sprain after playing three defensive snaps and 14 on special teams.
Gonzalez, who replaces Riley Patterson as the kicker, has previous experience with the Dolphins during the offseason and training camp. He was placed on injured reserve in August and released with an injury settlement shortly after. Last season with Atlanta, he successfully converted 19 of 22 field goals and 17 of 18 extra points. Llewellyn, a seventh-round rookie, also made his NFL debut in Week 2, participating in two defensive snaps and three on special teams.
