Dolphins Evaluate Five Kickers Following Riley Patterson's Release
The Miami Dolphins held workouts for five kickers after releasing Riley Patterson, who struggled with missed kicks in Week 5, including an extra point and two field goals earlier in the season.
Among the kickers trying out was Justin Tucker, a former Ravens player. Tucker has been seeking a new team since serving a 10-game suspension related to allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied. He has previously tried out for the Saints, Colts, and Jets over the last two seasons.
Tucker, a five-time first-team All-Pro, has a career field-goal conversion rate of 89.1 percent, although he recorded a career-low 73.3 percent in his last season, along with two missed extra points. Other kickers who participated in the Dolphins' workouts included Michael Badgley, Will Ferrin, and Joshua Karty.
